Anjali Thevananther
A pianist and performing arts student recognized in regional and international competitions.
Anjali has studied piano at the International Music Academy with Katarina Loudermilk for ten years and is in the piano program at Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas.
Her awards include First Prize with Special Honors Plus at the Chopin Society of Texas Sonatina and Sonata International Youth Piano Competition, with a performance at Carnegie Hall; honors from the Rocky Mountain Winter Music Festival and Red Maple Spring Music Festival; and recognition at the Blinn College piano competition. She has appeared in master classes and the International Music Academy's selective Concert of Champions and attended the 2024 Oberlin Summer Piano Festival.
Anjali also performs as part of an award-winning piano duet team. Away from piano, she enjoys many kinds of music, crocheting, crafting, reading, spending time with her dog Cooper, and studying traditional Indian Bharatanatyam dance.
